Glamorous Fall Wedding Inspiration

Fall, last but not least. A gorgeous time of the year to celebrate a wedding. I love Fall weddings because the color palette seems to be handed to you effortlessly by nature. The warm browns, plums, golds, and oranges are so elegant. Fall is often is still warm enough to be married outdoors which will be wonderfully decorated for you by Mother Nature.

Here is a outdoor venue I am simply in love with and can easily be recreated with any arbor.
Another thing I love about Fall weddings is rich toned bridal gowns.

All of which look gorgeous paired with a rich fur stole.
If you have your heart set on both a Fall wedding and a pastel color palette. Don't worry, it has been done before and it looks darling

Summer Wedding Inspiration

Summer weddings are the perfect time to use color for brighten up your special day. You can even use as many colors as you want! I like this idea because it allows you to incorporate a lot of different florals into your wedding. It also allows your bridesmaids and groomsmen to look different than one another, we all know that no grown woman wants to stand next to another in the same exact outfit. Although, it is perfectly acceptable to do so if the bride wishes. It just might not be preferred by your maids.

I love the way this couple used yellow and a few different shades of blue in their wedding.

Note: it's the little details like the hairstyle, pearls, bangles, and plaid bowtie that really make a wedding stand out as having a vintage flare. So, if you fall madly in love with a modern Vera Wang gown, don't sweat it! I was one of those brides that thought I was going to have to sacrifice my vintage style for my dress gown, but then I realized  that you can make anything into what you want it to be. Which is what this blog is about.
Summer weddings also allow to create your own AMAZING venue. It can be at a park, a garden, or your very own back yard. The part I love about this is that it gives the couple a chance to really express their style and personalities throughout the entire wedding. Lets face it, getting married indoors just isn't for everyone.

Notice how I said Summer weddings weddings allow you to create your own VENUE, not just ceremony space. You can take advantage of outdoor spaces to have your reception as well. Although, it is always good rule of thumb to have a backup location secured, such as a tent or shed.

Vintage Spring Wedding Inspiration

As promised, here is my post on Spring weddings. Spring weddings are great for a bride who is torn between a warm or cool weather wedding, because you can use the soft, Spring like pastels (which are acceptable for all seasons) and still use heavier elements, such as sweaters. Remember that Spring weather is typically chilly!

I love the first look because, while my bridal look is very formal and glitzy, this dress reminds me of mine. I also love the pairing of the gloves and parasol. A very vintage and feminine look.
Many brides fear Spring because of the chance of rain on their big day. NO FEAR! There are PLENTY of adorable photo ops for rainy weather. I, in fact, love wedding photos that involve cute rain boots and an umbrella. Just be sure to get a clear umbrella so you can get your photo taken through it :)
As I mentioned above, I love gloves for a feminine bridal look and these little pink gloves are SO adorable.
This board is everything a vintage Spring wedding should be. Fun, soft and pastel, and feminine. I love tea length bridal gowns!! I also love the pink and green color combo, which are also my wedding colors.

Glamorous Winter Wedding Inspiration

I decided to write about Winter weddings first. I LOVE the fur stoles, photographs in the snow, and rich reds that winter brides can pull off. Not that you need to have a winter wedding to wear a fur stole or have red, but the combination of everything along with the holiday spirit is truly magical.

Below, I have created a couple of boards for winter wedding inspiration. The boards to not represent a theme, just elements that make winter weddings magical. From the centerpieces to the favors.

Next up? SPRING weddings!!!

First Things First

The most important part of wedding planning, in my opinion, is setting a date. Your wedding date dictates so many elements of your wedding that is difficult to plan, or even envision, your wedding without it.

For instance, if you get married in June, you most likely won't using plaid as your "color" and accent with evergreen twigs and pine cones. The same goes for the oppisite, if you are planning to wed in December, your wedding flowers probably wont be those fun multi-colored Gerber daisies you see in the store and you probably won't be getting married in a rose garden. Unless you live in the South, that is, in which case LUCKY YOU!! :)

Stay tuned and I will be posting some great inspirations for ALL seasons (that means four, yes FOUR) completely separate posts. One dedicated to wedding inspiration for each season of the year! By doing this, I hope to give you some ideas about how beautiful weddings can be in all weather. If you are stuck for a date, maybe it will help you decide if you see something that strikes your fancy!

First post as a wedding blogger!

Hello, all!

As you probably gathered from the title of this post, this is my VERY first time writing as a blogger! I'm beyond thrilled to begin this adventure that was inspired by my recent engagement and all the ideas floating around my mind about my "perfect" wedding that is a mix of glam and vintage.

With this blog, I hope to provide brides, like myself, with DIY tutorials, beauty tips and tricks, and other fun wedding related topics that are centered around either glamour or vintage style weddings, sometimes both!

As you are reading this, you are probably wondering about me. Well, my name is Lea and I am a college student. I am also the owner of the Etsy shop, Miss Charlie Boutique. I am a lover of all things pink, sparkly, and furry.

You can follow me on Pinterest, too! I'm always pinning wedding stuff. http://www.pinterest.com/leakay22/boards/
